Social Value Commitment

We’re committed to providing social value for our clients.

Providing social value is now a key priority for many buyers, as clients are increasingly factoring in buyers’ efforts to provide added value to local communities when awarding contracts.

The UK Green Building Council (UKBC) identified three categorises of social value in construction:

  • jobs and economic growth
  • health, wellbeing and the environment
  • strength of community

We look for ways to provide added social value to local communities and the support we provide to our team for every project we are awarded.

Supporting the Lighthouse Charity

As part of our social value commitment, we are a supporter of the Lighthouse Charity.

Shockingly, two construction workers take their own lives every day in the UK and 30 people lost their lives on building sites in 2022. The Lighthouse Charity is the only charity to provide emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families. We follow the charity’s mental health charter and are committed to fundraising to support the vital work of this fantastic organisation.
